Questions we are usually asked
Do you need access to our source code?
Yes, and access can be read-only and limited to what the work requires. We can work inside your own repository and your own network, and we sign a confidentiality agreement before receiving anything.
What if the person who wrote our system has left?
That is the most common situation we are called about. It is also why we start by recording what the system does rather than by asking someone to explain it, because the recording does not depend on anyone remembering.
Our current provider handles this. Why change?
In many cases there is no reason to change, and we will say so. Where it does matter is when the knowledge sits with one person, because a single absence then becomes a business risk rather than an inconvenience.
Do you use artificial intelligence to write the code?
We use it where it saves time, and every change it proposes passes through the same automated comparison and human review as any other change. Nothing reaches your system because a tool suggested it, only because it was shown to behave correctly.
How is the work billed?
An initial assessment is a fixed price, agreed before starting. Ongoing work is a monthly fee with an agreed scope and response times. The amount is always set in writing once the scope is known, so nothing is committed to before it is understood.
Would you like us to assess your case?
Tell us what application you run, what it is built on and what deadline you are working to. We reply with a first written assessment.
